I am a National Certified EMT-Paramedic, Firefighter III (Grandfathered), EVOC, ITLS Instructor, ACLS/CPR Instructor, Some Arson Investigation Classes, Certified in Law Enforcement as well.
When I was younger, I met and became friends with young man that was a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT in Baileys Crossroads, Virginia. He was a counselor at a summer camp I attended where I learned and he was teaching first aid. He told us about the things that he did as an EMT and Firefighter and I decided I wanted to do that too. As soon as I turned 15, I joined the Warrenton Volunteer Rescue Squad. The rescue squad recently merged with the fire department in Warrenton and I am a Lifetime Member. I don't run volunteer much any more but I am a career Paramedic/Firefighter/Lieutenant with the Culpeper County Office of Emergency Services. I not only get to run fire and EMS Calls, but I am the Shift Commander.
