Hey Daniel,
Absolutely. I have no problem trading for the Montreal FD patch. I will send my patch out to you tomorrow morning. I believe I am going to be residing in Calgary and going back and forth to Toronto. I have heard many wonderful things about Montreal however and plan on taking a visit there as well. I much appreciate your offer on the ride along. Thanks again for that offer! would you happen to be a Montreal Canadiens hockey fan?
Daniel,
If I'm reading this right I'm right behind you int he number of patches and like you always looking for something to add. Just have to be new/unused. Any time-any where. E-mail me at Seasand04@aol.com and I'll send scans of my original and current depts.
Stay low and stay safe.
Dave
Absolutely. I would be more than happy to trade patches with you! Shoot me your address and I will get my dept's patch out to you ASAP. I noticed you said you had a Montreal Airport Fire Dept patch? If so I would love to get my hands on one of those! I just recently started collecting patches and do not have any airport rescue/fire patches yet! Brookfield, CT is about an hour from me. I passed it last month heading up to the academy. I am in the early stages of relocating up to Canada within the next few months to a year as all my family is up there. I hope to be able to pursue a firefighter career up there!
Yes, I remember you mentioned Dungarvan before. I was also born in England though both my parents were Irish, working there at the time.
Were you able to get any info for me regarding violence/aggression against crews? The deadline for my project is next Friday, May 14th and I'd like to include any details of statistics, training crews get or youth training and education programmes aimed at dealing with problem kids/areas in the international section of my project.
Fanfare!! Shirt arrived this morning!!
Great shirt - love that the wording is in French. I know that French is used a lot in Quebec, is it the first language officially, ahead of English? Do you speak French as your first language?
Have never seen the waterproof patches before either - good idea too.
Fit is slightly large but not much - I think the one I sent you might be a little tight now. I think there's a difference in the sizing systems between Europe and Canada (your L = XL here?). Many thanks, I'm delighted to have it and its so different to any I have already.
Hope there's a delivery at your end soon.
Hi Daniel,
Just wondering if the shirt arrived there yet? I sent it air mail more than a month ago. Don't think we can blame the ash cloud for such a long delay. No sign of yours at this end either though so maybe this time frame is normal - either that or some postmen are wearing them!!
Take care and take it easy,

Hey, sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. I had my drug test last week and passed it. Yesterday I had the psychological test, and tomorrow I have the physical. I'm hoping to know about being hired for sure by next week :)
No, I didn't get paid for it. It was just to see if I thought I could handle it or if I panicked. I had the polygraph today. It really wasn't that bad. The guy said everything looked good so he thought that I should be hearing something soon :)
Hi Daniel,
I posted the shirt yesterday so it is on the way to you. My eldest daughter was 21on Thursday so prep for the party night last night took over most things this week. Thanks for talking to the chief for me and I'll talk to you again soon.
Take care,
Hello friend, I received their patches today. I am very grateful for them. Are great, worth our patches are not so, because we have the army restrictions on the size of patches on the uniform.
I already sent my patches to you too, will be arriving on 30 March.
Let me know when you receive.

They called me this morning and said that I made it through the interview! So Monday I'm going for a sit-in with the dispatchers to watch them and see what all they do, then Tuesday I have the polygraph test. So hopefully I can make it through the rest of the tests okay and get hired! The only one I'm really concerned about is the polygraph, just because I'll be nervous about it and they might think I'm lying about my name haha. But I know I don't do drugs, and as far as I know I'm not psychotic or in bad health. So I'm hoping for the best but trying not to get too hopeful in case it doesn't work out.
