you might be a canadian firefighter if

if you have ever ridden a ladder like a tobbagan back to the pumper
if you have ever removed your bunker and it could stand on its own ( not from dirt but because it is frozen)
if you have ever called out the salt because its too slippery to walk
if you have ever had to leave the hose running just a little to keep it from freezing
if you have ever been on the ice and had to drive to the station in skates when the pager goes
if someone farts and you say thanks for the heat
if you have ever used a chainsaw to cut the ice to get to the water source
if you have ever drained a portable and put prestone into it after so it doesn't freeze
if you have ever had to clear the snow off the lightbar at a scene so people could see the flashers
if you have ever taken the ski doo to the station instead of cleaning off the car
you might just be a canadian firefigher or at the very least just across the border

If you have ever had to call the plow trucks out, just to get into you department (18" in 8 hours)
If you have two snowmobiles, an argo, and a hovercraft as response vehicles
If you have ever had a cup of coffee freeze solid during a 15 minute run
If you have ever had a baseball game called because of snow in June
