- What can i say dad did it, i followed then my brother followed when he got old enough i guess insanity runs in the family. Little brother actually has joined the same house as me.

- the part where you help your nieghbours, and the feeling of having a second family at the station
- Top Issues Facing Responders:
- I can't speak for ems , but on the volunteer firefighting side, the biggest issues are lack of young people interested in joining the dept. , and general lack of funds for decent equipment, but other than that who can complain.

if you have ever ridden a ladder like a tobbagan back to the pumper
if you have ever removed your bunker and it could stand on its own ( not from dirt but because it is frozen)
if you have ever called out the salt because its too slippery to walk
if you have ever had to leave the hose running just a little to keep it from freezing
if you have ever been on the ice and had to drive to the station in skates when the pager goes

hi all , fist time blogger, just had the greatest thing happen today, went and cashed the smallest monthly pay i have ever had since i started on the dept. i hope things stay this calm for another month or two, but we all know that never happens.
