On January 14, fire and EMS personnel were sent to Decatur Township (Pa.) for a fully involved house fire. They experienced heavy fire on arrival. East Derry Township Fire Chief Steve Yohn (who served as the incident commander) requested a second alarm. With extreme cold conditions, Fame EMS (Lewistown, Pa.) rapidly deployed their heated rehab tent. Approximately 70 firefighters from 12 stations battled the blaze and benefited from the special environmentally controlled rehab system put into operation by Fame EMS.

Just want to Let everyone know of a fellow Captain and Fire Fighter passing in the line of duty death.
Captain William (Bill) Floyd Hopman responded to a flu fire with extention into the addic. Captain William completed his duties at the fire and went home to his family. The next morning Bill never woke up. Rehab and the use of SCBA's are a must. Please train to stay alive and not take smoke in, just because you think that the Danger is over. Is IT?
