Were you born stupid, or did you have to work at it?

People who know me and have seen me work, often ask me why I am no longer a Paramedic. There are several reasons, but one reason might be illustrated by the linked article.

Every day it amazes me that the human race has lasted this long. Now before I start getting poison emails, let it be known; I do not think ALL EMS people are this way. I know many many fine medics. Intelligent, capable, caring, etc. But over the last several years, I have witnessed class after class, of, for the lack of a better phrase, MORONS.

I know common sense is not something which can be taught in a class, but there has to be a point where we say, one must have at least the common sense skills of a telephone pole to be able get into class. The ones I have seen lately, do not have the common sense of a bowl of corn flakes.

Is it something in the environment which has caused this? Is it genetic, or is there a special school?

I know this is the reason there is a new policy in place for no cellphone cameras, no digital cameras, no disposable cameras to be used at any scene, (while on duty). If your working they have the right to everything that happens and can control information being disseminated.

We are even not allowed to discuss an operation on forums, due to some overzealous posters...

But it is amazing what some say/type here on FFN...

You know, i really do not know what to say on this other than a head exam is in need here. I am one that likes to take pictures of accident locations and fires etc. but i respect the people and keep them to my self and i don't think i have a single picture of a victim. There is no reason for anyone to post images of stuff like that and to me he needs to visit bubba in the pokey!

One of my more famous infamous phrases has been recorded and is now taught to future 911 dispatchers of what not to say to a caller, regardless of how stupid or ridiculous you may personally think their situation is. I actually called them stupid over the 911line.

But to answer your original question. I was born this way and have spent many a year perfecting it!

Based upon others' description of him, he craved for attention.
Well, he got it this time.
HE is part of the reason why social networks are clamping down on inappropriate content.
Because some people are so ignorant and are void of ANY common sense, we have to legislate against it.
Most of us know what is and what isn't, but it's the idiots that get most of the attention.
And his case is a classic example of why WE had that conversation at this website on the posting of pictures.
Do you get it now?
TCSS.

Didn't his Medic class teach him about HIPPA and the various ways you can violate it? (like posting pix of victims?) As Bugs Bunny would say, "What a maroon!" Stay safe!
