Please help a North Carolina Fire Department WIN a NEW Fire Truck.. Please Vote by 24 April at 1 PM

H ey everybody, In a world of passing around a pile of chain letters and such, I am asking everyone who gets this to send it on to every group and friend they have to try and help out a fellow North Carolina Fire Department for me. It takes about 3 minutes of your busy time to read their story, click the VOTE link, and then click the link in your email to confirm the vote.

I am lucky enough to belong to a decently financed department, but I know how hard it is for some departments to have any kind of money. A lot of us in the fire service do this because we just want to help, we volunteer our time, our gas, time away from families, and sometimes we dont make it home. Please dont let an aging truck be the reason that one of my brothers or sisters gets to that great Department in the Sky, We train our butts off, get up all hours of the day and night, and all we ask for is equipment that works when we need it.

Please, pass this along, vote before Friday the 24th at 1 PM, and answer the email to confirm your vote, If you have multiple email addresses, well.. I know I am using all of mine to help them.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

G.H. Lang

Hey All,

I am not forwarding this to promote E-One or Fire Connections, I am forwarding this to help a poor fire department in the eastern part of NC.

Powellsville VFD in Ahoskie is one of 7 finalists for the E-One Truck Give-Away. This department seems to have a lot of bad luck and has not

been able to raise the funds to purchase a new truck. They thought they would receive a FEMA Grant, but that has also failed them.

Regardless of what brand truck you think is the best (or the worst), we can help a small department obtain a new piece of equipment just by voting

for them. The deadline is Friday, April 24th at 1:00 PM.

Below is their story.

E-One will accept one vote per e-mail account. At one time, Powellsville VFD was in second place. We as firefighters in NC can help one of our less fellow fire department.

Please forward this to your department's member and ask them to vote.

Thank you for your help to assist this department.

Just a reminder…

The E-One Fire Truck Giveaway Contest is coming to a close. Now down to just 7 finalist nation-wide, the voting will end Friday, April 24th at 1:00pm. Our information lends that the Powellsville Volunteer Fire Department in Ahoskie, NC has done very well seeking your help for votes and has a great chance at bringing home this brand new E-One. The firefighters of Powellsville have marketed through the NCSFA, Eastern and Piedmont Fire Associations, the NC Veterinarians Association, and more. These men have even been given permission to advertise in every Wal-Mart in the state of NC. Attached you will find an article in the most recent issue of Fire Apparatus & Emergency Equipment magazine. As you may have noticed, many other national publications are covering this story as well. Asst. Chief Ralph Brinkley has even posted two videos on You Tube, if you would like to watch just click below.

If the deserving members of the Powellsville Fire Department do not win the Free Truck Giveaway Contest it will not be from a lack of effort. Members of the Powellsville FD will be in attendance at the Fire Department Instructors Conference in Indianapolis later this week full of anticipation and hope to win this much, much needed fire truck. Please forward this to your friends, family, colleagues and co-workers as a final reminder to go to and vote for Powellsville Fire Department.

Once again we thank you all for your support of all North Carolina’s Fire Service.
