Let this MOFO come to Jersey and try this sh*t... he'd get a halligan up his ass!.. plywood held over the student would have sufficed..

I've been fighting fire for 22 yrs now and never (well once) got in a wrestling match in a fire building..

be safe all.

If you guy’s will pay attention, this is a simulated floor collapse, and guess what, your 2 buddies behind you just fell on you. I’m not sure what there objective is, may be the radio thing, sure looks like the one in back is taking it away. It also appears that the trainee is desperate to find his lapel mic, but the radio does not have one. This is a designed simulation, nothing more.

First off; this video has been around for a little while now.
While I can see what they were trying to do in simulating a collapse, there are other options available for training scenarios as some have outlined above.
This particular option puts trainee and "trainers" at seemingly higher risk of injury.

i dont know about you but debris doesn't climb on you or put its elbow on your neck like a felony takedown

Then I am sure that the "instructor" wouldn't complain a bit when I bounce an axe off his forehead.......would be a great lesson......Paul

While this was rough treatment of the firefighter he did learn the leason. Sometimes the best lesson learned comes with a few bruises.

I sense someone would be willing up here to open a can of whoop-ass for the jerk.....we use a piece of chain link fence...throw it over the firefighter and keep it there till he calls his mayday, mayday,mayday.....then we free him/her....this is asking for some serious attitude adjustment..anyone have a flat head axe..??
