Nice title, huh? It may be true very soon in Indiana.

Yesterday, Indiana's senate proposed plans for a new two year budget. With the economy the way it is right now, naturally there were cuts in almost all areas. Included in the cuts... Public Safety, things like overtime for police and FF's, fuel and maintnence budgets, and funding for new PPE all face the chopping block.

However; one area where the senate has decided to increase spending... Healthier meals for Indiana State prisoners!!!!!!!! Along with other budget increases in state prison funding.
I cant be the only one that sees a problem with this.

My state gov't has now decided that convicted thieves, rapists, and murderers eating healthier is more important then my safety while on the fireground.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to hear your thoughts.

Keep in mind this is only a proposal at this point, the budget has not been officially voted on yet.
