Sounds like some chicken shit is trying to feel important but all he/she has done is make themselves look like an ass...you want to be Chief...?Go for it....if not then shut the hell up.....(is that clear enough for you)

Not meant to destroy the chief, this picture was given to me from a resident on that street who happens to be a neighbor to a firefighter. She had shown some concerns as to why he would do that as well as it goes against everything we teach, with having new personnel at this scene and them seeing this it raises questions. Just looking to get a little info. We strive to teach and instill safety into everybody in the service and then the old school way kicks in and people ask why, it would be a different story if that line came down and killed him and we all had to deal with that.

So let me try and understand your reason for posting this.
Since you have no profile, I can only assume that you are really a nobody in the fire service.
It sounds like you are trying to make the chief, and the dept. look bad, simply by posting the pic.
If this is your dept., then I certainly see why you would hide behind the profile door.You KNOW you would be out on your (_!_) if when the chief sees your handy work.
I just hope you have the skills and knowledge and balls to be able to do a better job, ( I mean in a split second - Not after the fact bull chit like this... But, if you are inspiring to be the chief, forget it. It takes a MAN (or a Woman) to do that job, and this tactic is an absolute insult. No officer worth their salt would stoop to that level, and I think you will see the rath from other members in a short time.
Check that...I suspect that there will me some that agree with you, and think I am out of line.
oh well.
Just my own opinion given the information I was dealt.
