I just recieved a phone call today from a training officer inviting me to test for their volunteer ranks and found out that the written test is just 3 days before the CPAT and in about a month I would be starting recruit school. However I have never had to take the CPAT before because I was granfathered into my old department on that before they started requiring the CPAT in the district. I know what's on it and stuff but what is the best way to prepare for it in such a short time? Remember I have about 3 weeks before the test is given.

Practice on the stair-stepper with a weight vest and cardio as much as you can! Good Luck!

Find a continuous belt treadmill. Most first timers fail on the treadmill station, you are only allowed a certain number of times to touch the hand rails in full PPE. You must keep up and balance hands free.
