Bigjoe why in this day and age are you making a EMS powerpoint for FF1, wouldn't using an established and accredited program be better for the student and the liability?

Oldman has it exactly right. That's why patient care step 1 is to check the airway and ensure that air is being exchanged.

I really like Oldman's story, and he has it right. My training was much more basic, it is simply a person choking in a restaurant and the people call 911 saying someone is having a heart attack,

I am building a power point, for Emergency Medical Care FFI. NC lesson PLans, wants me to know what Cafe Coronary is, and talk about. I've been unable to find any info on same.

It's o drunk thirty, and the bars are closed. A group of people go to the local diner for "breakfast" after several hours of drinking. As they eat, they are cutting up and laughing. Not paying attention to the need to chew, one of them tries to swallow a mouthful of steak and eggs, it gets stuck in the throat... wah lah. A cafe coronary.
