I have been on a Vol. Fire Dept. For four years now and I know I want to make it a career. I have been looking in to the Air Force. Some friends that have been in the army and the navy, past their thoughts of what branch is better they tell me I can get in as a E-2 with the little exp. and certs. That I have. Is their any Air Force people that can help?

Robert,

In my 37 plus years in the US Army I can tell you that the USAF and Navy spend more on their service members but have less positions available then the Army which is the largest branch personnel wise. Good luck in your future. TCSS

Robert, there is a USAF FF group somewhere here at FFN. I think there are even some active duty guys as members. That being said, I enjoyed my time in the USAF. I just didn't realize it then. If you want to be a hose laying, 'tailboard' riding FF, the navy isn't the branch of service for you.
