A Great Weekend OFF!

The weekend was great, home to North Texas to visit family and friends there aren't enough hours to fit everyone in. Friday evening, discovered I didn't have the blackberry charger! I survived until home Sunday evening with it turned off!

Saturday back to the "other" family tradition. This was the 57th year our family has participated in the Fort Worth Stock & Rodeo parade. Had a great time working with my son who didn't know I was coming this year. Turned out they actually needed me as little bro had a 4am fire fatality to investigate, misery loves company he called the task force. Then off to visit old friends and learn new information about ham radio and technology I can use and will be beneficial to my job and the local EM community. Not to mention fun to play with!

Spent some time with a new friend. A horrible drive home in the rain made better by having my new friend to talk with by radio for the whole ride.

I am going to have to go back and focus on the radio hobby. I need to "invest" in some new technology. I own a small piece of the new, but hey, a girl has to have the newest best and brightest!

A day to recover and tomorrow, another fun day in the EM world on the clean, oil free, beaches of the Texas Gulf Coast.
