I don't know many good [and still married] firefighters who don't struggle between the love of the job - and the love of their life.

I've always said that it's easy to tell the difference between those firefighters who have the fire service in their blood - and those who don't. But, like anything else that can get in your blood, it can kill you (or your relationships with others) if you don't "treat the disease."

This movie could provide some keen insight and an important perspective that a lot of us need in our relationships. It should be interesting to see.

Fellow officers and I from our department, along with a 100 or so others saw a "rough cut" preview of this movie at FDIC 2008 back in April. Not knowing waht to expect when we walked in and sat down, I would say it was pretty good, even in it's rough state at the time. Good story... I saw a few guys get choked up that I wouldn't have guessed would show it.

That was filmed int the next county over from us. If they have done better than the FACING THE GIANTS this will be an awesome movie. Several friends were in the last movie and this one.
