Family Portrait 2007

This Photo is one of My family taken right before Christmas in 2007. The reason I am posting the photo of my family is simple. They are the reason for my dedication to safety. If I operate safely than my chances of going home to my family are dramatically increased. Throughout a commitment to safety, my fellow firefighters can experience the same benefit of being able to return to their families.

Having a wonderful family is always a great thing in life. They are their to support me when I am not in the best of moods, or when I am exhausted from going to work, than balancing the firehouse training, meetings, and calls. They are the ones who sacrifice their time with me so I can be who I am. Committing myself to safety gives them peace of mind in knowing I operate safely. Although not completely eliminating the fact that firefighters die, they know I am trained, and will do everything in my power to make sure everyone goes home.

Make a commitment to yourself to be safe, and keep those around you safe(for your families sake). We all have a loving family and friends who rely on us being there for them. Being safe will bring us all home.

This is one of the most important reasons we need to be safe out there and need to be able to go home when our call is over.

You've nailed it in one. In the rush of adrenaline, we sometimes forget our priorities. Our NUMBER ONE priority is family....after that, doing the job in the safest manner possible to make sure we all come home....customer service factors into that...but at the hub? Fire Prevention...then perhaps we wouldn't be needed so frequently.
Your priority is in that photo.
Stay safe, be smart, wear your seatbelt, keep your brother's back.

I had heard there was a spell checker somewhere on the site, now we know who he is... LOL.

Without Ted playing the role of Websters, I would be s.o.l. with correct spelling. I type and proofread (at 300mph) and if it looks good, I send it. When your brain moves faster than your fingers your bound to mess up once in a while.. :)

Another county heard from... especially a down-stater, Ted "Nit Picker" Bownas... pay him no mind.
