Hey all, well, just another day here in beautiful Moab, Utah. The only thing that seems to be going rite for me these last few days, is that I spent a great day with my son yesterday. I am torn between my career as wildland firefighter, the woman I am currently dating, my children and a new lady that I have met through my son's soccer league.
For those of you who don't know me, and that would just about cover all of you, my name is Jared. Ifyou look at my profile pic, that is me on the left, the short, good looking one. Ha Ha Ha. That is one of my best friends here in Moab, next to me, Lance tate.
I'm 32, divorced, and a former CDF and BLM firefighter. I began my fire career in San Juan Bautista, California in 1997, as a volunteer firefighter. From 1997-1999, I worked with that department and CDF in the San Benito-Monterey district. In 2003, I joined the Saratoga Springs, Utah Fire Department and soon left in June of 2004 to pursue a position as a wildland firefighter within the BLM. Today, I am a restaurant server and looking to join the Moab Valley Fire Protection District. I am aspiring to be a firefighter paramedic with either Phoenix, San Jose or Los Angeles County. However, I am open to other locations should a position be offered to me.
So, I think that this is a great website. Had my ex wife not gotten rid of quite a few of my belongings in our nasty and bitter divorce process, I would have several dozen photos that I would have loved to post from my career in the fire service. I have taken some phenomenal shots over the years.
