I was just thinking, do people actually think that others on here are not going to see their page? You know, commenting on the forums on someone's open page isn't always smart, especially if it's not something you wanted to post in the forum (the "Safety Nazis" quote is still my favourite).
I had just innocently enough wandered to someone's page to say something like, "Even though we have disagreed on a subject or two, I respect your views on safety and your convictin in your words." Instead I see that I am just a Canadian idiot who can't possibly understand anything about US immigration or US issues because I am up here in my own little Canadian "Civics Class".
Another point, when posting a thread on the forums, it is helpful to post all of the information. One or two threads in particular have little actual fact and filled with personal opinion that leads to getting even farther off track from the actual topic at hand. It only helps to fuel the great amount of misinformation we already have on the internet.
Third, everything you post on the internet can always be found. You can delete it all you want, if someone wanted to find it again, it can be found. What you post without fear of repurcussion can say a lot about you and your true values.
Just some thoughts. Sorry to ruffle some feathers out there, but being in another area doesn't mean there is no understanding or knowledge. And just because someone doesn't agree with you, doesn't make you right.
