Hey everybody!!! Hope everyone is well. Okay I need some; okay if anyone has read my blogs you know all of this is new to me and I have no clue half the time what my instructor is talking about, so the questions this week he gave us is to ask our local firefighters what is the point of no return? and he says five of them would not be able to tell you. And we need to find out the five top reasons, from FEMA, that firefighters lose their lives and what can we do to decrease. So if anyone has any input on these things or any ideas, I would appreciate it. Thank You So Much for help and PLEASE BE SAFE OUT THERE!!! Debbie

point of no return to me would be when you really start to feel the heat in a fire or your skin starts blistering, it's also when your bunker gear starts to discolor and burn.

The point of no return is when you have advanced too far into a room or building that is about to flash over. You are in so far that you can't make it back to the point of egress without your PPE catching fire. Or, you can't get back out if your low air alarm goes off.

What did you find out from FEMA?
