Hi, welcome to my personal blog where I hope to share a little of me and my department with you. I may not be able to post here every day but I will certainly try to.

The latest news around the firehouse is Promotions and Elections for the Fire Service Sports and Social Club. Many of my fellow colleagues are anxious about the names of the successful candidates for promotions and when they will be released.

Chief Mayers has indicated it will be soon. This is following on the heels of the recent announcement of persons being elevated to the ranks of Station Officer (see Bajan Fire Fighters Blog).

Nonetheless, we will have to wait a little longer for the big announcement. Next is the Elections for the Sports and Social Club due to be held this month. This election is about securing the future of the Fire Service Sports and Social Club, bringing much needed change to the effective management of the club.

No one knows what the outcome of this election will be but members are encouraged to come out and vote. The timing of this election is interesting because it comes just after the National Elections. It is going to be a very keen contest.
