Why is it so hard to find a date or get to know women the older you get the harder it seems to be. Not sure how to approach the women my age because they have all had a bad relationship and it seems that everything you do is compared to their last relationship. What do you do is those cases. would like to find someone that just wants to hang out together and then see where things may lead. Not just jump into a relationship. I feel that you have to get to learn about each other before you can decide to go any further.

Yeah no kidding! Try being an older single female looking for someone, it isn't any easier on this end, I totally agree. Most of the guys my age are married or bitterly divorced, and yes that comparison thing comes up again and again. I don't like being compared to an ex but you know that happens. I am still trying to find someone to hang out with and even maybe have as my own, if you know what I mean. I am a hopeless romantic I guess, I am stuck in nowhereland. Someone shoot me please...

I got news for you, you are looking in the wrong places then. I had a terrible marraige but that just made me more mature and helped me to know exactly who I am and what I want. Those of us "older" women don't play games and don't want drama. I personally don't want heavy romance, just friendships that I can depend on. I am too independent to worry about what and who someone else is doing. I have problems with men who don't understand my love for what I do and why I do it. They tell me I am intimidating because of what I do and because I am assertive and a strong woman who knows what I want and states my opinions. It ain't no easier on this side of the coin! Trust me!

Hey wbfdbsk, I would like to say first of all, that's a difficult nametag to get in my head! I have similar problems to what you wrote with the guys in my life. I don't like being compared to other women because I am not like any other woman. Even real communication doesn't seem to be the whole answer, there are still obstacles to overcome. One of the biggest ones is being around whenever they want you, or responding when you had plans. Wendy
