Another Halloween has past, I did not hear of any children getting hurt in our County. That is something to be very Thankful for. I went to Pinewood with my boyfriend Dewey, he is a Lt at Pinewood Station 2. They gave out candy to trick or treaters on Main Street. They started with 100 bags and left empty handed. That is a very good turn out. The children dressed in there best costumes seemed to be having a very good time. Everyone seemed happy. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed myself. There was also LE on scene. They parked their Fire Units along both sides of the road. It was very nice. The kids got lots of candy from people they know they can trust which makes the parents feel safe too. Way to go Pinewood Station 2! I know they were giving out candy on Main Street in Sumter also. I am sure they too had a great turnout. Gotta look out for our Children, after all they are our future.
