I'm supposed to be graduating from college this year... Logical progression... I graduated from Northwest Catholic HS in 2005 so I should be graduating college in 2009... but following a very difficult first semester at Manhattanville College leading to a medical leave of absence and a transfer to a different college, I knew I wouldn't be graduating "on time."

I've changed my major several times... I transferred to Central CT State University in Fall of 2006 and since then have gone from Athletic Training to Biology to Industrial Technology and now finally settling on Criminology... a far cry from what I hope to make my career, largely in part because CCSU refuses to approve a very carefully laid out "Special Studies" major proposal.

So what does all this blabbering have to do with firefighting/ EMS? I'm not sure... I'm just getting my thoughts down... I'm using the Criminology major to focus in on investigation and forensics so I can eventually pursue Arson investigation... I want to pursue a career as a Fire Medic... I'm well on my way... I'm a minor in biology... I'm getting my EMT-Intermediate cert again in October... I'll be going to medic school in probably 1 1/2 -2 years... I have specialized certifications in EMS... I'm already looking into schools that would offer me a degree in Fire Technology after I get my BS from CCSU in Crim...

Anyone have any thoughts as to whether or not I'm on the right path? Anyone have any suggestions for schools in CT with good fire programs? Anyone have any suggestions as to what kinds of classes I need to be taking?
