Well, went back to EMS..got a 94 on my class written, passed the NYS practical and now just waiting til the NYS written on the 17th!

Well, It's official now. I said that when my kids went to school I would go back to EMS...unfortunately because I am now in a different state from where I was originally licensed I have to start all over again.(Too long for reciprocity to work out) So, next month I start EMT class with an end date of June, and then pretty soon I'll be back to a "real" job on top of the "Mom" job. Well, I have not fallen off the face of the Earth...just my computer did, actually it took a nice hit during a thunderstorm and I had to replace it...took a while to find one I actually wanted but now I am back in the world of technology!!!! Leave it up to me to be the klutz....Since it was so nice on Saturday we decided to do some clean-up from the December ice storm. I unfortunately should not have tried to carry a big branch down a muddy slope! Well after 110 hours without power we finally have light and heat. As the snowman says in the beginning of Rudolph..." It was the year of the big storm..." This started on Thursday the 11th, no snow just ice, and freezing rain...lots of ice and freezing rain.
