Ok so today the tones went out, dispatched out to a dumpster fire. I went out with one other person on the truck from station 2. We arrived first on scene, the driver hit the pump and i grabbed the bumper line and started putting water on the fire. When Eng. 21 Arrived I had someone on my back. after everything was done 3 or 4 people were telling me how i should always pack out when going to any type of fire like that. Well here's my first blog. I have been aon the dept. for nearly two weeks now. so far i love it, no major calls yet. A vehicle fire, several false alarms, 1 call we didn't even ride, and 2 vehicle accidents. I really appreciate how the veterans on the dept. have really taken me in. One of them has even started teaching me rapid dress. something i had been practicing on my own. now he's showing me some easier ways to do things. THANKS!!!
