About Me:
I started in the fire Service as a Volunteer firefighter for our small town department when I was a junior in high school. I have stayed with the agency for nine years minus two summers. The Summers of 2005/2006 i was employed by Washington State DNR as a engine leader of a type six engine for inital attck wild fire firefighting. the summer of 2007 I deployed to the wildfire lines only twice. Once witrh the department to a state mob fire in Wenatchee, Wa. And one two week deployment as an engine leader for a private wildfire firefighting company to the Eastzone Complex in Idaho.
Since I have joined the department I have been involved with vehicle rescue and have been promoted to LT for the rescue division and have spent the last year rebuilding our department's rescue division. We now currently have a high angle ropes team, vhicle rescue team, and have trained members in trench structure collapse and haz mat operations.
My sister wrote this poem the other day and she shared it with me. I thought it was so good that we shared it with our department and now I would like to share it with all in our field.

They… Continue
