About Me:

I started out as a volunteer in 1979 and became full time in 1982. Worked my way through the ranks. Have numerous certifications in the fire service, instructor, inspector, hazmat tech, EMTIV, just to name a few.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

It was, and still is, a family tradition. My dad and my uncle were firefighters. My brother, myself, and my son are still firefighters.

Being able to serve the community and the state I live in

Top Issues Facing Responders:

One of the top issues is residential sprinklers. Being vice-president of the TN Fire Inspector's Association, I have been involved in many legislative issues in the State of TN. There are too many risks being taken and not balancing them against the benefits of the situation.
