I started as a cadet at a volunteer fire dept about a month and a half before I turned 16. I joined because I was already at the fire station with the guy I was dating at the time. I then earned my first responder, hazmat ops, and fire 1 by the time I was 18. After graduating from high school and running calls, I realized that I wanted to be a paramedic. I still have my certs, except my first responder. I let that one expire just before I started EMT school. I let my EMT lapse once I got my medic license and had it for over a year. I love helping people, so in addition to working 24 on, 48 off, I also rejoined the volunteer fire dept where I started. Unfortunately, due to a lack of time between my full time job, my part time job, and my son, I had to quit the volunteer service again.

April, love the smile. What's going on this weekend? Doing anything interesting? Gonna get out and enjoy the weather any? I'll be in Orlando helping my brother out with some construction work in a condo he has there. Be safe, gio
