About Me:
I have been involved with fire and ems since early 2003. I joined the fire department first. I had a 14 y/o kid involved in a Pickup Truck vs ATV MVA. The kid was pinned underneath the 4 wheeler which was pinned underneath the truck. I was the only one on scene, the only one who called 911...I had no idea what to do but check for a pulse. He had a pulse...other than just being pinned the kid had significant trauma...EMS arrived along with the fire units....EMS told me to back away from the kid, his pulse dropped to nothing and they started CPR...The kid didnt survive. Come to find out, it was my little sisters boyfriend. Thats why I am doing what I am doing today!

Top Issues Facing Responders:
Getting along with eachother and being able to not stab eachother in the back. More or less the Ambulance departments. In the fire service....Money...We need more money!!!! The government grants give the money to the departments with more money....what about us poor folks?

Greg, hi my name is james weaver, i am a paramedic/firefighter from the rochester area. i was wondering if your stll affiliated with the cape vincent fire department, or have any connections there. i was a long time summer time resiident there growing up, and have a lot of family still in the area. i am looking for some one i could contact to purchase or trade for a couple of cape vincent fd t shirts. i have very close freind who is a firefghter emt and that grew up summers there also and i know she would fliip for one. any help or ideas you might have would be greatly apprecated ... thanx in advance
