About Me:: I am 39 years old and married to a wonderful lady that takes good care of me. I have 4 wonderful children. I graduated from Brush High School and dam proude of it . I am just me but when that pager goes off then i am a firefighter that is out there just doing what i can to help other people firefighting is not a job its a adventure.

Day Job:: Meat cutter at ower local grocrey store here in Ordway Co.

Relationship Status:: Married

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Well i m going to say it the way i said it when i first started . I like driveing fast and putting out the fire and leaveing a big wet mess.

I joined because i have been helping people all my life and so i joined because i thought that i could help other people this way and also give back to my community.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: For the people

Top Issues Facing Responders:: I think that sometimes we are makeing the wrong move on a fire scene. And most of the problem is people are not watching out for us , and what i mean by that is people not moveing over when we are responding or they pull right in out in a intersection. Get what i mean.

my name is Doug Hudson and am with the Ordway fire department from Crowley county Colorado I would like every one here on firefighter nation to pray for my daughter she was in a car accident on thanksgiving day, they transported her to pueblo Colorado for sugary she had bleed of the brain so they had to do sugary for that, and close a large cut across her forehead, then she was taken to Denver Colorado for more evaluation and more sugary on Tuesday. this will be for damage around her eye,…

Here in Southern California we have been in a State of Emergency for the better part of a week - rain, flood, mudslides, dead / missing people. Most of the roads in my town are closed - houses falling off cliffs, my road is a river, etc. My yard privacy fence blew down - I am going to go try to jimmy-rig it back up right now.
