So your son works for Telus, as I work for Rogers.
Although I do not climb any more towers. As they have changed our type of work. I have almost nothing to do with the Cell Service any more.

I guess a lot has changed in 40 years, as well as 10 years last being back here. Bolton is all we hear about in Caledon. Bolton this , Bolton want , Bolton needs, well I think they will be getting a run for there money. As the boarder has broken from Brampton to Caledon. As there is no more to build in Brampton. So they are starting to build up in Caledon, figure about 50,000 to 100,000 homes in
the next 5 years. So there will be a couple more fire stations that will need to be built as well as maybe more full time.

Sounds like a nice area your living at, although I don't know about the deer thing. We can get 6 to 7 tags a year. I usually get 15 to 20 deer in the back yard. I know that the OPP have stated that we get about an average of 250 deer hits a year in Caledon that are reported. I still think our deer are a little bigger than the ones in the US.

Guess you will be seeing so more Canadians down there as the dollar is now par. Big news up here is that you can go to the US and buy a car that is built in Brampton and it's $15,000 less in the US. So if the dollar stays at par we will be either have to see a product that will be sold on each side of the boarder at the same price or you will be seeing a lot of Canadians going south to buy and seeing a lot of places close up here....

Well the dinner bell is ringing... Got to go, great chatting with you...

Well lots has changed since you moved out. Bolton has gone full time for two shifts and still Vol. if they need back up or after 1a.m. as well as weekends. The are talking about starting up two more stations with a day shift so that they can shut down all 9 stations for calls. Unless its big then they will call out the Vol. It's all money and budget, no matter where you live. For this year we have been very busy with grass fires. Our station usually does close to 200 calls a year. But not breaking the 200 in Alton ever since we opened the new station in Caledon Village. Bolton is close to 900 a year rest follow close or a little over 200 at the other 7 stations. But like anything else, some days we get 2 or 3 calls in a day and then weeks go by with nothing. Which makes me happy as no one is getting hurt. But it also bad for those that need to keep up there skills. How long ago where you living in Bolton....

Check out the some of the Groups, I have started up "Close Calls" an area to tell your story of what you did and should not of so others learn. "Roll Calls" this is another group that allows you to tell us about your station and district. "Trainers Corner" is another area that you can read about issues other trainers have or deal with. As well if your not a trainer you can ask questions or state concerns you have. If you have a hard time locating them just go to my site and look at the bottom left hand corner.

Enjoy, be safe and remember we all come home.
