About Me:

Not sure what anyone wants to know! I'm a wife, mom and have a great job. I started volunteering at the then Elida Fire Dept ( now American Township Fire Dept) as a Basic EMT. I loved it and as I watched and learned more about the fire service it became something I really wanted to do. So I became a volunteer firefighter, got my medic and eventually in 2000 got hired as a paid firefighter/medic. It has been a great experience so far and looking forward to many years to come.

Day Job:

Firefighter/Medic, I do work part time for a private ambulance service

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I followed my younger brother into it after he began telling me of some of his calls. I'm lucky to have my brother at the same fire dept. I grew up with one brother and in the last 12 yrs I have gained a whole fire dept of brothers.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Hmmm... I would say because I like knowing day to day will be diffrent. You just never know who you will meet and care for!
