Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I've always been interested in fire fighting and life did let me pursue in until now. I moved into a small town that relies on an all volunteer department and joined as soon as I could and have never ooked back.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

It is a challenging, every changing adventure that provides and gives back to the communitee I live in

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Brush fires make up the largest percentage of our calls, our population is just over 1000 but our land mass is one of the largest in the county. We run 12 trucks but they break down frequently, between age and use it is a constant battle to keep them in service. I've fought a 600 acre brush fire for 7 hrs and thenspen anoth 5 fixing things into the wee hours of the morning in order to have the trucks up and running for the next day.
