We are such a great family though. Everyone knows everyones wives and husbands plus their kids. Its awesome. The Bbqs at the Captains houses are bomb! Plus we throw birthday parties and help our community as much as we can. It pays to go to the CSD meetings. We just learned about some people that didnt have phone service. They were complaining about what if we had an illness of some sort or elderly people not getting care because the lines were down. The meeting was the first we have heard about it.  So my department and I are going door to door and doing welfare checks to get involved. It should be neighbors, but we dont mind. Anything to help. That means if we know what their medical history is then we can help them better. I have been on this department for 8 months and love every bit of it. Try to never miss a call. Although for about 5 days been down with a cold/flu/sinus infection,  but feel better today, so im back on call. Love our training as well. We are working through our FF1 booklets. I have learned so much. Its awesome.

If you come by Newberry Springs and blink, you might miss it though lol
