I served 4 years in the active duty Army as a combat medic. I am currently serving in the US Army Reserves with the same role as a medic. I am currently training in the Fire Medic program at Chippewa Valley Technical College. I am a volunteer firefighter at Township Fire Dept in Seymour, Wi.
I was an assistant coach of a high school football team before I joined the Army. I took special interest in the health and care of injuries of my players. I saw being a medic in the Army as the only job in the Army where I could actually be happy. I found that I loved being "Doc" and especially the "rescue" aspect of the job. Upon finishing my active duty obligation, I decided to pursue fire fighting.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Sense of duty/purpose and an outlet for me to use my God-given abilities.
