I am married to a Battalion Chief and a mother of 4, (2 daughters are mine and 2 are my step-sons). I am just a down home country girl that loves the simple things in life. We have 3 horses, 3 dogs, and 4 cats.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Well I guess I could give the "generic" answer for this question....but....I was taking classes for my RN and missed the intrance exam by 1 point, so, I was looking through the college hand book and the Paramedic program was the 1st thing I turned to. I had never even thought about being a paramedic until then and hadn't been on a ambulance, ever. So that is the reason I am a Paramedic....and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

It gives me the opportunity to be with friends and the obvious reason.....Helping people!
