Im 22 years old just starting my career in fire and ems. I love my job and wouldnt trade it for anything. Ive seen some bad things that i will never forget but everytime I see such things I tell my self that someone has to do it and id rather see and do it than let someone else. I also enjoy my time off from the job too. I enjoy spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and hiking. I like to camp, take my boat out, and ride my motorcycle. If there is anything else that youd like to know feel free to ask me. Im the future I want to get a job for a big dept. in a big city. So if you can help me out id greatly appriciate it.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined the fire dept. right after i graduated high school. Ive always wanted to be a firefighter and was finally granted the dream. I love helping people, the rush the job gives, the satisfaction of accomplishment, and life of a firefighter. I work for two fire departments at this time and go to college full time getting two degrees, one in emergency medical care and another in fire science. I love my job.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love the satisfaction of touching someones life each day.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
I think that lack of education and training really hurts and endangers responders. people that think that they know everything that there is to know about fire are particularly dangerous. every fire is different and you are always learning. If you feel that you are no longer learning I think that it is time for you to find a new job. Our job is dangerous and we shouldnt take it lightly.
