Why I Joined Fire/EMS
My Dad was a volunteer in Bay Ridge Vol Fire Co since I was five. So it was in my blood. I joined Bay Ridge the day I turned 16. I guess I am just a lifer !
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Where else can you combine Helping others, brotherhood and excitement
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Dwindling Volunteer membership. Difficult to give time to Family, Work, Fire Calls, Training, Fire Co. Business and Life !

I remember full fold out boots, I am 6foot 6 inches tall and the boots and coat both were short . Always had wet legs and feet. The good old days.
