About Me:

Started as a volunteer in Virginia. Spent 28 years there, holding all offices including Chief. Career firefighter in Virginia fo 21 years. Instructor for Virginia Department of Fire Programs when active in Virginia. Sold fire equipment in Florida from 2000 to 2005. Volunteered in Florida from 2001-2002. Career Firefighter in Florida since 2002. Currently a Captain/Shift Commander and Training officer for my Department. Department is 24/48, BLS Non Transport with one station averaging 7 calls per shift.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I started as a junior in my volunteer departmentin 1971. My dad was a member and also worked for Virginia Division of Forestry

The ability to help someone and hopefully make a difference in a life or death situation.
