Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I've wanted to be a firefighter and in EMS since I was a little kid. I got my first, first aid & cpr cert when I was 9 y/o and was pretty much sold ever since.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I love helping people and the people I work with are family.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

I think the biggest issue we have is scene safety, which I would say goes for every department. Between the economy being poor and improvements in automobile safety that oddly make vehicle rescue/extrication more dangerous for firefighters we definitely have to be aware of what's going on all the time.
