About Me:: I am 34 yrs. old and I have 2 children (boys). I have lived in Georgia my entire life and grew up and went to school in Duluth, Ga. I have lived here in Jefferson, Ga. for the last two years and I have since joined the Dept. here. I love it out here.... in this city and in this county(Jackson Co.). It's alittle country out here, but not too much. I love MY Dept. and ALL of it's staff members. We have an Excellent Chief,Capt's,Lt,........TEAM!!! We also have an AWESOME support Dept. at the Jackson County Correctional Institute Fire Dept.(All Proffessionally Trained and Certified "Inmate" Volunteer Fire Fighters) and do their job Well! I am proud of those guys and Commend them for their work and Support! I never realized how important WE were, and they ARE until 4 months ago when I was brought on to Jefferson F.D. You're probably wondering why I'm telling you all of this, and/or, WHY, to your dismay I have strayed from the "ABOUT ME" part! But, I HAVEN'T! You see...approximately 4 months ago I was a part of THAT Dept. as well, with those same guys! I was an inmate fire fighter just like they are at the same prison work camp. I paroled out on Nov. 5 of 2008! Though I am no longer there with the J.C.C.I. F.D. and now with Jefferson F.D., those guys are STILL, and will ALWAYS be a part of MY team no matter where I go. My motivation,mission and goal is to motivate and inspire those guys as well as anyone elsewho will listen to hang on to all of your hopes and desires and to never give up and to hopefully open minds,eyes,and doors to them and to ALL Fire Depts. across the State of Georgia, as well as, across the Country! We are ALL human,and so therefor WE ALL make mistakes! Some of us learn from them; Some uf us don't! But it boils down to this: We all have to work hard for what we want, and if you want it bad enough , you 'll go any length and do whatever it takes to get you there! I was blessed with a second chance at life and a very noble and respectable proffession and career! And I Thank GOD for every breath and day for my new life,insight, wisdom, new career and compassionate heart! After all, isn't that why most of us chose to be Fire Fighter's in the first place?......OR did "IT" choose us??? Thank You Jefferson Fire Dept. for Believing in me!!!

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: There are so many reasons! I joined the Fire/EMS to take a different direction in my life,to help others,to help save lives and to give back to the community! I joined as well to motivate and inspire the unfortunate and disadvantaged to NEVER give up on your hopes and dreams regardless of your situation

Why I Love Fire/EMS: I enjoy what I do " Helping Those Who Can'Not Help Themselves" Saving Lives,Helping others and serving the community.
