Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love helping people and am an adrenaline junkie.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
-traffic control and an uneducated public.
-lack of appropriate funding/training for rural agencies and on the same note, the difficulty in approriating funds from state and federal agencies. When we request funding for equipment, no matter how little, I wish we wouldn't have to wait a year or more to get the okay. It's hard to predict what we'll need years down the road. When we request equipment, we usually need it PDQ.

work for Trophy Club street dept. I started with Trophy Club in 1990 as a utility worker. I got the job due to TCFD. I was mowing the lift stations and at the wastewater and water plants. I used to repsond to the fire station with the citys lawnmowers on the trailer. I started volunteering in Trophy Club in 1990. Do you work for ED, tell him I said Hi. Give Robert Scott some hell. He always liked when I had to leave to go on calls.
Robert
I have been doing it all full time since 1996. I still work as Public Safety Officer. I was basically on the street from 1996 till 2005 with more PD than FD until we had a change at work and now I am on C shift working 24hr fire shifts. Once a few more guys get out of training I will work about 4 or 5 12hr PD shifts then finish my 24 in the fire station.
Hope that helps, feel free to contact me
Good Luck
Jeff
