Primary Fire/EMS Department:: Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service (Reepham fire Station)

Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations: Served for 29 years as a professional fire officer

Now serving as a Retained fire fighter, I am the Station Commander of Reepham station. I have been a Retained(part time) firefighter for 5 years.

My Training:: Firefighter, driver, diver, first aid and breathing apparatus instructer.
All the required training that you do over 30 years in the service to keep up with the job. I am also a fire safety adviser.

About Me:: Married with two children. My wife Dawn worked in the fire control and that is how we met. Her dad was a firefighter as was his dad before him. Dawns sister is in the control room still.
I was an engineer in the Royal Navy prior to the fire service.

Day Job:: Fire Consultant, undertake fire risk assessments of building and I train staff in fire safety

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I wanted a job that I thought would offer , excitment, security and a sense of doing good. I made a good choice.
