About Me:
What about me? I live in Colorado, which is where I've been since 1992. In the winter I work at Eldora Mountain Resort where I'm a tickets supervisor and a professional ski bum! I love to snowboard. I've been doing that for like 12 or so years. Recently I picked up Telemarking. Now that's a lot of fun. I can ski backwards on all blue terrain and one black run at eldora called corona! I make enough to somehow pay for my 2006 Volkswagen GLI, and maybe the rock climbing, and the rent. I love to go on long drives in the mountains especially Rocky Mountain National Park with the windows down and the sunroof open. Oh, and the summer skiing/riding at R.M.N.P. is awesome. Hiking is also a good time too, but mostly it's running to the bottom of a rock face and going from there. (I love to climb!) I also have this job in southern Colorado where I get paid to build ropes courses, play paintball, shoot skeet and targets with 12 and 20 gauge shotguns, 22 single shot rifles and an M-16! Then the occasional chase down and saddling of horses (hosses as mike says, he's from Maine). How could anyone not want that? I love cars too. My dad has a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT, and a 1966 Chevrolet van! I've got the Volkswagen GLI. I've always wanted to drive the GTO. I also own a 1971 Volkswagen Bug.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I started in EMS about 5 years ago at a small ski resort. I have a friend who is a firefighter and a paramedic. He has influenced me to get a job in wildland fire and aviation. I just recently got my EMT cert.
Nicki- I created a new Group here on FFN that you might be interested in joining, Snow Skiing Firefighters. Would love to have you join.

I do a lot of rope rescue training. We always train on the basic stuff and advance evolutions all the time. I work in our special operations battalion. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Take care and be safe. Robert.
