Just searching for guys from NBFD. I grew up in NB on Rockdale Ave before moving to Rochester, Ma. Moved out of MA in 97 and now working in sunny HOT FL as firefighter/medic. Stay safe!
This is unreal, it's like a blast from the past. I thought they closed down station 9 years ago due to budget problems. I knew Mr. Weeks was at that station for a long time. I hope you don't mind but your my new lifeline to the city, I don't get back too much. My uncle used to own Cuhnas' Jewlers on the Blvd, but I believe he sold it 5 or 6 years ago. I wish I was into the fire service back when we lived there but I was only 8 and my dad worked for My Bread Baking company on coffin ave. Seriously, how difficult is it to get on the new bedford fire department? I would love to move back to the city. I know 90 percent of it is a shithole but it's where I was born.
Hey Brian, I'm Tom from Rhode Island. I was born in Newbedford on prescott st. I am sure you don't get many fires there. I don't know if he's Still on or not but a father of an old female friend of mine Larry Weeks (I think his first name it Larry) is he still on?
