EMT, AEMT Cardiac Care Tech, CPR Instructor, EMT and First Responder Instructor, Trauma Care, IV Certified,
About Me:
I had to retire from the dept after a serious spinal injury left me unable to perform duties. I was widowed to a vol. fireman in 2002 and was lucky to remarry a great guy who, unfortunately, doesn't belong to the fire dept but has relatives very active in the fire dept on Long Island. I worked my way up the chain of command and held just about every EMS position in the company. I also had the honor of being the first female squad capt. and first AEMT in the town. I served on the founding organization to get ALS into the small towns in the Adirondacks.
Day Job:
Retired now
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS

lack of trained volunteers to man daytime hours
Inflation affecting everything, cost of gas, insurance rates, etc.
