Whats Up? Just keeping in touch with ya. Been a while since I heard from ya. Any way, we have been burning the crap out of some stuff over here at SFD. We have averaged a burn every other shift since Christmas day. I melted my tets on my helmet on Christmas day during a pretty good burn in a two story residential. It wqs so bad on that one, that it blew glass out the front door for about 30 feet and knocked one of our ladder crews helmets off in the stairway going up stairs. It was a mixture of a back draft and roll over, but I can't define it exactly. It was a good fire though.
Its been a lot of fun but very busy. Two shifts ago we ran a residential in the morning followed by 13 alarm activations. That was crazy. Just think about running that many calls and no medicals! Engine 1 crew in the city is bad to the bone! LOL! All right, keep in touch and stay safe.
We're stayin around 300/year. Of course we don't run run medical calls, only a few occasional first responder calls, mostly cardiacs, strokes, and diabetic emergencies.
