My Training:: 6 month fire training academy w/ state level hazmat and EMT IV. Several extrication classes and a state level operator class.

About Me:: I'm 37 and have been married for 11 years and have 3 beautiful little girls, (firefighters not welcome at the house).

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I joined the fire service for several reasons, pay not being one of them. I had a friend who pushed me into it, he said it fit my personality. It did, it has been some of the best years of my life. Sometimes it is very hard, but most of the time very rewarding.

Top Issues Facing Responders:: Controlling the adrenaline, keeping your head when things go bad to worse.
