I have completed the following NFPA courses: Firefighter I/I, Fire Officer I, Safety Officer, Hazardous Materials Technician,Instructor II/III. I'm also an EMT. And, I'm sure there is more. But, I forget.

About Me:

I started out in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter while still in high school. After graduation, I lived in a fire station as a staton resident while attending Purdue University. Upon graduation, I began working for Wishard Ambulance. I hired on with the fire department a short time later. I did a 7 year stint working for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway medical staff.

I am also a commissioned officer and aviator in the army. I currently fly the UH-60 Blackhawk and perform as the 38th Combat Aviation Brigade's Medical Operations Officer within the S-3 (Operations). I have served as the 1256th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) commander. And, I'm currently preparing to deploy to OIF in 2009.

Personally, I divorced in 2008. I have two little girls who are truly the light of my life. I'm a graduate of Center Grove High School in 1990 and currently reside in that area west of Greenwood. I also attended Purdue University and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor's degree in sociology and minor in psychology. I am planning to pursue a Master's degree in a psychology related field wth the hope of one day putting my gifts to use assisting brother and sister public safety professionals through employee assistance counselling.
