My Training:: Basic Firefighting, Swift water rescue and some others too many to list.

About Me:: I love giving back to my community and this is the best way! I never thought about becoming a firefighter until a family friend asked me to join and now I love it. Although I have been through rough times in the organization but with the help of some of my brother firefighters I was able to overcome those rough spots.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I didn't have any intentions of joining fire/ems until I came home from college and a friend of the family asked me to join the department. I ultimately joined to give back to my community and help others.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: I love it because some of your fellow firefighters become family to you and treat you like your family.

Top Issues Facing Responders:: Budget concerns, lack of funds for training, I also find that departments with multiple companies making up the department have a lot of internal problems (for example, our company is better than yours, etc). Lack of leadership!
